- Cordelia is a nickname of mine that was given to me, when one summer, many, many years ago, I read a book. 'Maria's Italian Spring'. In that book, there is a girl, Cordelia, who is in many ways like me. One friend kindly took note of that fact, and with that group of friends, Cordelia I have always been since that time.
